Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
- 4 burger buns
Optional Toppings
- Lettuce
- Tomato slices
- Extra cheese
Instructions
- Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, finely chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar cheese, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix together until all ingredients are evenly incorporated, taking care not to overwork the mixture to keep the patties tender.
- Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture evenly into 4 portions. Shape each portion gently into a burger patty, about 3/4 inch thick, ensuring they’re uniform in size for even cooking.
- Cook the Patties: Heat a skillet over medium heat and drizzle with olive oil. Once hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), ensuring the chicken is fully cooked and safe to eat.
- Rest the Patties: Remove the cooked patties from the skillet and transfer to a plate. Let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute, keeping the burgers juicy and flavorful.
- Assemble the Burgers: Place each chicken patty on a burger bun. Add your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, or extra cheese. Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious, homemade white cheddar and spinach chicken burgers!
