Description

A refreshing and vibrant Triple Berry Lemonade combining fresh strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries with tangy lemon juice and just the right amount of sweetness. Perfect for a hot day or a casual gathering, this lemonade is easy to make and bursting with natural flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4-6 lemons)

Sweetener and Liquid

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups cold filtered water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Berries: Rinse the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry using a clean towel. Slice the larger strawberries into quarters to release more flavor during infusion.
  2. Juice the Lemons: Cut the lemons in half and use a citrus juicer to extract the juice. Strain the juice through a fine sieve to remove any seeds and pulp for a smooth lemonade base.
  3. Sweeten the Lemon Juice: In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice with granulated sugar. Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved, creating a sweet and tangy lemonade concentrate.
  4. Add Berries and Water: Add the prepared berries into the pitcher along with 4 cups of cold filtered water. Stir gently to combine all ingredients without crushing the berries.
  5. Adjust Sweetness and Flavor: Taste the lemonade and adjust sweetness or tartness according to your preference by adding more sugar or lemon juice if needed.
  6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least one hour to allow the flavors to meld and chill. Serve over ice cubes and garnish with extra fresh berries or lemon slices for a beautiful presentation.

Notes

  • For a smoother drink, strain the lemonade after chilling to remove the berry solids.
  • Use organic lemons and berries if possible for the best flavor and to avoid pesticides.
  • Adjust the sugar to your taste or substitute with honey or a sugar alternative if desired.
  • This lemonade is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
