- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup pesto
Instructions
- Preheat and Toast Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the focaccia loaf in the oven and toast it for 5 to 8 minutes until the bread is slightly crispy and warmed through, enhancing its texture and flavor.
- Prepare Pesto Mayo: In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together the mayonnaise and pesto to create a flavorful pesto mayo spread that will add richness and a herbaceous note to the sandwich.
- Slice the Bread: Carefully slice the toasted focaccia horizontally into two halves. Set the top piece aside for assembling the sandwich later.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Spread a generous layer of pesto mayo onto the bottom piece of focaccia. Layer on the deli turkey evenly, followed by thin tomato slices, a handful of fresh greens, and a few slices of red onion. Add another layer of pesto mayo on top to enhance flavor and moisture.
