Description

Delicious Strawberry Sago is a refreshing tropical dessert combining fresh strawberries, creamy coconut milk, chewy tapioca pearls, and delightful coconut jellies. This chilled pudding offers a perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, making it a delightful treat for warm days or any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits

  • 300 g Fresh strawberries (finely diced)
  • 300 g Fresh strawberries (finely diced) for folding in

Dairy & Sweeteners

  • 400 ml Coconut milk (smooth and creamy)
  • to taste Granulated sugar (adjust sweetness)

Others

  • 100 g Small tapioca pearls (add chewy texture)
  • 100 g Coconut jellies (drained and added)

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: Combine the diced strawberries, coconut milk, and granulated sugar in a blender and blend until smooth. Place the mixture in the refrigerator to chill while preparing the tapioca.
  2. Cook Tapioca Pearls: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the small tapioca pearls and cook for 10 minutes or until they turn translucent. Remove the pot from heat and let the tapioca steam for an additional 10 minutes.
  3. Rinse Tapioca: Drain the tapioca pearls and rinse them under cold running water. Keep the pearls submerged in cold water if you are not using them immediately to prevent sticking.
  4. Combine Mixture: Fold the cooked tapioca pearls, remaining diced strawberries, and drained coconut jellies gently into the chilled strawberry and coconut milk mixture.
  5. Adjust Consistency & Serve: If the pudding is too thick, adjust the consistency by adding a splash of water. Serve the dessert chilled for the best refreshing taste.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of the strawberries and your taste preference.
  • Ensure tapioca pearls are fully cooked and translucent to avoid a gritty texture.
  • The dessert is best served chilled but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
  • For a vegan and dairy-free dessert, confirm that the coconut milk used is free from additives.
