Ingredients
Scale
Tortilla Chips
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Cheesecake Mixture
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Toppings
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup strawberry syrup or strawberry jam for drizzling
- Optional: chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, or mint for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat and Cut Tortillas: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Cut the flour tortillas into triangle-shaped pieces resembling nachos.
- Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Mixture and Coat Chips: In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Lay tortilla triangles on a baking sheet, lightly spray with cooking spray or brush with melted butter, then sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake Chips: Bake the coated tortilla pieces in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and crispy, being careful not to burn them. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
- Make Cheesecake Mixture: Beat the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl until smooth. Add powdered sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract, mixing until creamy and well combined.
- Assemble Chips and Cheesecake Mixture: Arrange the cinnamon-sugar tortilla chips in a single layer on a serving platter. Spoon and spread the cheesecake mixture evenly over the chips.
- Add Strawberries: Top the cheesecake-covered chips with the sliced fresh strawberries.
- Drizzle Syrup and Garnish: Drizzle strawberry syrup or jam over the nachos. Optionally add chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, or mint leaves for extra flair.
- Serve Immediately: Serve while the chips remain warm and crispy to enjoy the best texture and flavor.
Notes
- Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and texture.
- Keep an eye on the tortilla chips while baking to avoid burning; oven temperatures may vary.
- You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a tangier cheesecake mixture.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas.
- Serve immediately to maintain chip crispiness; leftovers may become soggy.
- Optional garnishes like chocolate drizzle and mint add visual appeal and extra flavor.
