Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Spiral Stuffed Rolls featuring a soft pizza dough filled with a savory mixture of cream cheese, ham, broccoli, and cheeses, baked to golden perfection. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or party treat that combines creamy, cheesy, and savory flavors in a satisfying spiral roll.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 1 can (13.8 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough

Filling

  • 6 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 Tablespoons salted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped ham
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped broccoli
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onion

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a large baking sheet generously with cooking spray to prevent the rolls from sticking during baking.
  2. Roll Out Dough: Take the refrigerated pizza dough and press it out with your hands into a large rectangle, approximately 12 by 16 inches. This will form the base for your filling.
  3. Prepare and Spread Filling: In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter and cream cheese until smooth and well combined. Spread this creamy mixture evenly over the entire surface of the rolled-out dough. Then, top evenly with chopped ham, finely chopped broccoli, shredded mild cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped green onion for a flavorful, well-layered filling.
  4. Form the Rolls: Carefully roll the dough up into a tight log from one of the longer edges, sealing the seam by pinching the dough together to prevent it from opening during baking.
  5. Slice and Arrange: Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled log into 12 one-inch pieces. Place these spiral rolls on the prepared baking sheet with a little space between them.
  6. Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are lightly golden brown and the cheese inside is bubbly and melted.
  7. Serve: Remove from the oven and serve warm as a delicious snack or appetizer. Enjoy the creamy, savory spiral stuffed rolls fresh and hot!

Notes

  • You can substitute ham with cooked bacon or turkey for variation.
  • Use fresh broccoli steamed slightly if you prefer it softer inside the rolls.
  • Make sure the cream cheese and butter are softened to easily spread the filling.
  • Allow the rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burns from the hot cheese.
  • These rolls can be reheated in the oven or microwave – reheat until warm and cheese is melted.
