Ingredients
Scale
Pastry
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Glaze
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure it’s at the right temperature for baking the rolls evenly.
- Prepare Puff Pastry: Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet into a smooth rectangle to make it easier to spread your ingredients evenly.
- Brush with Butter: Evenly brush the melted butter across the entire surface of the puff pastry, which will help the sugar and cinnamon stick and add richness.
- Add Sugar and Cinnamon: Generously sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the buttered pastry for that classic sweet and spicy flavor.
- Roll and Slice: Carefully roll up the puff pastry tightly from one edge into a log shape. Then, using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch thick slices to create individual cinnamon rolls.
- Bake: Place the slices flat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the rolls are puffed up and golden brown on top.
- Prepare Glaze: While the rolls bake, whisk together powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl to create a smooth, pourable glaze.
- Glaze and Serve: Once the cinnamon rolls come out of the oven and are still warm, drizzle the glaze over the top to add sweetness and a beautiful finishing touch before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling to prevent cracking.
- You can substitute milk with cream or plant-based milk for different glaze flavors.
- For extra texture, add chopped nuts or raisins before rolling.
- Serve warm for the best taste and texture.
