Ingredients
Scale
Meat and Vegetables
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small yellow onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
Pasta and Sauce
- 1 (9-ounce) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Cook the beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the thinly sliced beef sirloin or ribeye with salt and black pepper. Sear the beef in the hot skillet until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Sauté the vegetables: In the same skillet, add the sliced green bell pepper and yellow onion. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes until the vegetables are softened and slightly caramelized. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Prepare the sauce and pasta: Pour in the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce into the skillet with the vegetables. Bring the mixture to a simmer. Stir in the refrigerated cheese tortellini, cover, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the tortellini is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Combine and melt cheese: Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine all ingredients evenly. Sprinkle shredded provolone and mozzarella cheeses over the top. Cover and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and gooey.
- Serve: Remove from heat and serve the Philly Cheesesteak Tortellini Pasta hot for a satisfying comfort meal.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef or shaved steak for the sirloin if preferred.
- For extra flavor and texture, add sliced mushrooms or hot banana peppers along with the bell peppers and onions.
