Description

These Parmesan Garlic Monkey Bread Muffins are a savory, bite-sized treat perfect for snacking or serving alongside your favorite meals. Made with flaky Pillsbury Grands biscuits coated in a flavorful blend of melted butter, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and parmesan cheese, these muffins bake up golden and delicious with a buttery, cheesy crust.

Ingredients

Scale

Biscuits

  • 1 (16.3 oz) can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits

Butter Mixture

  • 6 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 3 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese, divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 400ºF (204ºC). Spray a 12-cup muffin pan thoroughly with cooking spray to ensure easy removal of the muffins after baking.
  2. Cut Biscuits: Take each biscuit from the can and cut it into 8 bite-sized pieces. Place all the biscuit pieces into a large mixing bowl.
  3. Make Butter Mixture: In a small bowl, combine 4 tablespoons of the melted butter with the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and 2 tablespoons of the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix until well combined.
  4. Coat Biscuit Pieces: Pour the butter and seasoning mixture over the biscuit pieces in the bowl. Toss gently but thoroughly so every biscuit piece is coated with the flavorful butter mixture.
  5. Fill Muffin Cups: Distribute the coated biscuit pieces evenly into the prepared muffin pan cups. Make sure the biscuit pieces are packed snugly but not overly compressed.
  6. Add Final Parmesan and Bake: Sprinkle the remaining 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese over the biscuit pieces in each muffin cup. Place the muffin pan in the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until the muffins are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Brush with Remaining Butter: When the muffins come out from the oven, brush each muffin with the remaining 2 tablespoons of melted butter to add extra richness and a glossy finish. Serve warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture for a spicy kick.
  • Make sure to brush the biscuits with butter after baking for extra flavor and moisture.
  • Serve these muffins warm as an appetizer, side dish, or snack.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
  • Consider using freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
