Description

This No-Bake S’mores Pudding Cake is a delicious, easy-to-make dessert that combines classic s’mores flavors in a creamy pudding cake format. Layers of chocolate pudding, graham crackers, marshmallows, and Cool Whip create a sweet treat perfect for any occasion without the need for baking.

Ingredients

Scale

Pudding Layer

  • 1 box (3.9 ounces) JELLO instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 tub (8 ounces) Cool Whip, thawed

Base and Topping

  • 9 graham crackers (broken crosswise so you have 18 squares)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 2 Tablespoons chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Make the pudding: Whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and 1 ½ cups of milk in a medium bowl for 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and combined. Place the pudding in the refrigerator for 5 minutes to chill and thicken.
  2. Prepare the base layer: Arrange 9 graham cracker squares (18 halves) in the bottom of a 9×9-inch glass baking pan. The crackers may overlap slightly to cover the base evenly.
  3. Combine pudding and Cool Whip: Add the thawed Cool Whip to the chilled pudding and stir gently until fully combined.
  4. Layer pudding and crackers: Spread half of the pudding and Cool Whip mixture over the graham crackers in the pan. Then, place the remaining 9 graham cracker squares on top. Spread the rest of the pudding mixture over these top crackers evenly.
  5. Add toppings: Sprinkle 1 cup of miniature marshmallows over the top pudding layer, then drizzle 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup evenly over everything. Optionally, sprinkle crushed graham crackers for added texture.
  6. Chill to set: Cover the baking pan and refrigerate the dessert for at least 3 hours to allow the pudding to set and flavors to meld perfectly before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use a glass baking pan to monitor layers easily.
  • The dessert can be made ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours prior to serving.
  • You can substitute Cool Whip with whipped cream for a fresher taste.
  • Adding crushed graham crackers on top adds a nice crunch to the smooth pudding.
  • Make sure to chill the pudding before adding Cool Whip to maintain the right consistency.
