Description

These Lemon Cheesecake Crescent Rolls are a delightful and easy-to-make dessert featuring flaky crescent roll dough filled with a creamy lemon cheesecake mixture. Topped with a smooth lemon glaze and a hint of zest, they make a perfect spring treat that’s both tangy and sweet.

Ingredients

Scale

Filling

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dough

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 teaspoons milk
  • Optional: extra lemon zest for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare baking sheet: Preheat the oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Make the filling: In a small bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy, combining all flavors well.
  3. Prepare the crescent rolls: Unroll the refrigerated crescent dough and separate it into 8 individual triangles. These will serve as individual pastries.
  4. Fill and roll: Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the lemon cheesecake mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Carefully roll each triangle up starting from the wide end, tucking in the sides slightly to keep the filling enclosed during baking.
  5. Arrange and bake: Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet with some space in between. Bake them in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
  6. Prepare the glaze: While the rolls bake, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk until smooth to create a sweet glaze with a slight lemony finish if desired.
  7. Glaze and garnish: Once the crescent rolls are warm out of the oven, drizzle the glaze over them and sprinkle with extra lemon zest if using for an added burst of lemon flavor and decoration.
  8. Serve: Enjoy the lemon cheesecake crescent rolls warm or at room temperature for a delightful dessert experience.

Notes

  • For an extra burst of lemon flavor, add a few drops of lemon extract to the filling or glaze.
  • These crescent rolls are best enjoyed the same day for maximum freshness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
