Description

A quick and flavorful Hot Honey Chicken Bowl featuring juicy pan-seared chicken breasts drizzled with spicy-sweet hot honey, served over fresh mixed greens with crisp cucumber and creamy avocado for a balanced and vibrant meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Marinade

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tbsp hot honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Salad Base

  • 2 cups mixed greens
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, sliced
  • 1/2 avocado, sliced

Instructions

  1. Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides generously with salt and pepper to enhance flavor.
  2. Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  3. Drizzle Hot Honey: Remove the cooked chicken from the pan and place it on a plate. Drizzle the hot honey evenly over the chicken to coat it, allowing the sweet heat to infuse the meat.
  4. Assemble the Bowl: Divide the mixed greens between two bowls. Top with sliced cucumber and avocado, then add the hot honey-coated chicken on top.
  5. Serve: Optionally, add your favorite dressing or a simple vinaigrette for extra flavor. Serve immediately while the chicken is warm and juicy.

Notes

  • To make this dish gluten-free, ensure your hot honey does not contain any gluten additives.
  • For extra spice, add a pinch of chili flakes to the hot honey before drizzling.
  • Use ripe avocado for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
  • This dish can be easily doubled to serve more people.
  • Leftover chicken can be refrigerated and served cold or reheated gently.
