Description

These Grilled Beef & Broccoli Wraps combine tender, flavorful grilled flank steak with vibrant steamed broccoli, wrapped in soft flour tortillas. Perfect for a quick, nutritious lunch or dinner, this recipe offers a balanced meal with optional cheese and a hint of soy and lemon to brighten the flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Marinade

  • 1 lb flank steak or skirt steak
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Vegetables

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed or lightly sautéed)

Wrap Components

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (optional, cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional, for added flavor)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional, for brightness)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the flank steak thoroughly. Cover and let it marinate for at least 15–30 minutes, or for optimal flavor, refrigerate overnight.
  2. Grill the Beef: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Place the marinated steak on the grill and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, adjusting time to achieve your preferred doneness. Remove steak from the grill and allow it to rest for 5 minutes to retain juices. Then slice it thinly against the grain.
  3. Prepare the Broccoli: If your broccoli is not pre-cooked, steam or sauté the florets until tender yet vibrant green, about 3–4 minutes. Season lightly if desired.
  4. Assemble the Wraps: Lay tortillas on a flat surface. Evenly distribute the sliced grilled beef and steamed broccoli on each tortilla. Sprinkle with shredded cheese if using. Drizzle each wrap with soy sauce and lemon juice to enhance the flavors.
  5. Wrap and Serve: Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling and roll tightly into wraps. Serve immediately for the best texture and taste, or pack for a portable, healthy meal on the go.

Notes

  • For more tender meat, marinate the steak overnight.
  • If you prefer a dairy-free option, skip the cheese or use a plant-based alternative.
  • Grill pan works well if you don’t have an outdoor grill.
  • To keep wraps warm, wrap them in foil after assembling.
  • Substitute broccoli with other veggies like bell peppers or spinach for variety.
