- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- â…› teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh sage (optional)
Garnish

Instructions
- Cook the Gnocchi: Prepare the potato gnocchi according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain thoroughly and set aside to keep warm.
- Sauté Garlic: Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it brown.
- Prepare Pumpkin Sauce: Stir in the canned pumpkin puree and heavy cream into the skillet, mixing until the sauce becomes smooth and cohesive.
- Season and Thicken: Add the grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and ground nutmeg to the sauce. Stir continuously for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Toss Gnocchi in Sauce: Add the cooked gnocchi into the skillet and gently toss to coat them evenly with the creamy pumpkin sauce.
- Add Sage: If using, stir in the chopped fresh sage to infuse additional flavor into the dish.
- Serve: Plate the gnocchi warm, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and fresh sage leaves if desired for an aromatic and appetizing finish.
Notes
- Substitute half-and-half or coconut cream for heavy cream to create a lighter sauce option.
- For extra protein, add sautéed chicken or white beans.
- This gnocchi pairs beautifully with a crisp green salad to complete the meal.
