Scale
Main Ingredients
- 6 Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (3 oz size; 5 for dip, 1 for garnish) OR 2 boxes (8.52 oz each) containing 9 cakes (8 for dip, 1 for garnish)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz Cool Whip whipped topping, thawed
- Christmas tree sprinkles, for garnish
Instructions
- Beat Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese. Use a hand mixer to beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add Christmas Tree Cakes: If using 3 oz cakes, break up five cakes into smaller pieces and add to the bowl. If using 8.52 oz cakes, break up eight cakes and add them. Mix thoroughly to incorporate the cake pieces.
- Combine Milk and Vanilla: Pour in ¼ cup of milk and add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Beat the mixture again until well combined and smooth.
- Fold in Whipped Topping: Gently fold 8 oz of thawed Cool Whip into the mixture. The dip may remain slightly textured, which is normal.
- Chill the Dip: Spoon the prepared dip into a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Garnish and Serve: Just before serving, top the dip with one whole Christmas Tree Cake and sprinkle with festive Christmas tree sprinkles. Serve with dippers such as graham crackers, Nilla wafers, pretzels, fruit slices, shortbread cookies, or Oreo cookies.
Notes
- Softer cream cheese blends more easily and results in a smoother dip.
- The dip can be made a few hours ahead of time and kept refrigerated to enhance flavors.
- Feel free to swap out Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes with any similar festive snack cakes.
- Serve chilled to maintain the dip’s creamy texture.
- This dip pairs well with a variety of sweet and salty dippers for contrast in flavor.
