Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Batter
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
Mix-ins
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish to ensure the brownies don’t stick.
- Melt Butter and Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, remove from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Beat in the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder until the batter becomes thick and uniform in texture.
- Fold in Chocolate Chips: Gently fold the chocolate chips into the batter, distributing them evenly without overmixing.
- Spread Batter into Pan: Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and spread it evenly, smoothing the top with a spatula for uniform baking.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting them into 12 squares and serving.
Notes
- You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark chocolate or milk chocolate chips based on your preference.
- For an extra chewy texture, slightly underbake the brownies by a couple of minutes.
- Make sure not to overmix the batter after adding the flour to avoid dense brownies.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
