Ingredients
Scale
Noodles
- 8 ounces egg noodles or stir fry noodles
Protein and Vegetables
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup snap peas
Sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 cup water
Garnish
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare Noodles: Cook the noodles according to package instructions until just tender, then drain and set aside.
- Make Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water to create the stir fry sauce.
- Cook Chicken: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced chicken and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until lightly browned and fully cooked through.
- Add Aromatics: Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant to infuse flavor.
- Stir Fry Vegetables: Add broccoli florets, red bell pepper, julienned carrot, and snap peas. Stir fry for 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Add Noodles and Sauce: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and pour the prepared sauce over everything. Toss and stir well for 2 to 3 minutes until noodles are evenly coated and the sauce thickens slightly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving hot.
Notes
- Substitute chicken with shrimp, beef, or tofu for different protein options.
- For extra heat, add chili flakes or a small amount of sriracha sauce.
- If stir fry noodles are unavailable, spaghetti works well as an alternative.
