Ingredients
Scale
Cheese Tortellini Mixture
- 20 oz refrigerated cheese tortellini
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Cheese Topping
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Other Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Garlic: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
- Cook Tortellini: Boil the cheese tortellini according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain well.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked tortellini, Alfredo sauce, ricotta cheese, black pepper, Italian seasoning, and the sautéed garlic. Mix thoroughly to evenly coat the tortellini.
- Layer the Bake: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread half of the tortellini mixture evenly in the dish. Sprinkle with half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Add the remaining tortellini mixture on top, then finish by spreading the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the surface.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the dish to heat through.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown on top.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with chopped parsley if desired, and serve hot for a delightful cheesy meal.
Notes
- For added protein, stir in cooked chicken before baking.
- Add steamed broccoli or your favorite veggies to boost nutrition and flavor.
- Using homemade Alfredo sauce can enhance the richness and freshness of the bake.
- Ensure tortellini is drained well to prevent the bake from becoming too watery.
