Popcorn Mix
- 2 standard-size bags of Simply Salted or Tender White popcorn (e.g., Orville Redenbacher brand)
- 2 cups broken pretzel sticks
- 1 bag (10 ounces) milk chocolate M&M’s (pastel colored)
- 1 bag (10 ounces) white chocolate M&M’s (pastel colored)
Candy Coating
- 1 bag (12 ounces) white candy coating
- 1 bag (12 ounces) pink candy coating
Instructions
- Pop and Prepare Popcorn: Pop the popcorn according to the package directions. Evenly divide the popped popcorn into two extra-large bowls. Remove as many unpopped kernels as possible to avoid hard bites.
- Add Mix-ins: Distribute the broken pretzel sticks, milk chocolate M&M’s, and white chocolate M&M’s evenly between the two bowls of popcorn. Toss gently to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Melt White Candy Coating: Melt the white candy coating according to the package instructions until fully melted and smooth.
- Coat Popcorn Mixture: Gradually drizzle the melted white candy coating over each popcorn mixture while tossing to coat everything thoroughly. This should take about a minute to ensure even coverage.
- Set on Baking Sheets: Line two large baking sheets with parchment or wax paper. Quickly pour the warm popcorn mixtures evenly onto the prepared pans. Spread out to an even layer. Allow to stand for 10 to 15 minutes to firm up the first coating.
- Melt Pink Candy Coating: Melt the pink candy coating according to package instructions until smooth and ready for drizzling.
- Drizzle Pink Coating: Drizzle the melted pink candy coating evenly over the tops of the popcorn mixtures on the pans. Let the coating set for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
- Break and Serve: Once the coatings are completely set, break the mixture apart into bite-sized pieces and serve immediately or store in an airtight container for later enjoyment.
