Description

This Big Mac French Toast Sandwich creatively combines the classic flavors of a Big Mac burger with the comforting texture of French toast. Featuring seasoned ground beef patties, melted cheddar, fresh lettuce, pickles, onions, and a tangy Big Mac-style sauce sandwiched between golden-browned slices of egg-dipped bread, this sandwich offers a satisfying and savory breakfast or main course option.

Ingredients

Scale

French Toast

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Beef Patties

  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Toppings

  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced pickles
  • 2 tablespoons diced onions

Big Mac-Style Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 teaspoon vinegar
  • Pinch of paprika

Instructions

  1. Prepare the egg mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and salt until fully combined and smooth. This mixture will be used to soak the bread slices for the French toast.
  2. Make the French toast: Dip each slice of white bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated but not soggy. Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat and cook the bread slices until they are golden brown on each side, about 2-3 minutes per side. Set the cooked French toast aside.
  3. Cook the beef patties: In another skillet over medium heat, season the ground beef with black pepper and garlic powder. Cook the beef, breaking it apart, until it is no longer pink and fully browned. Shape the cooked beef into two equal patties sized to fit the sandwich.
  4. Assemble the sandwich: Start with one slice of French toast on a plate. Layer one beef patty on top, add a slice of cheddar cheese, followed by shredded lettuce, diced onions, diced pickles, and a generous spoonful of the Big Mac-style sauce. Place another slice of French toast on top and repeat the layering process with the remaining toppings and beef patty, then finish with the final piece of French toast on top.
  5. Serve: Serve the sandwich immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For easier handling and portion control, consider making two smaller sandwiches instead of one large triple-layer sandwich.
  • For added richness and indulgence, add a fried egg or crispy bacon to the sandwich layers.
