Description
This Air Fryer Pecan Pie offers a quick and delicious twist on the classic Southern dessert, delivering a perfectly baked, gooey pecan pie with a flaky crust using the convenience of an air fryer.
Ingredients
Scale
Pie Crust
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (softened)
Filling
- 3/4 cup corn syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- Dash of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pie Crust: Carefully place the softened refrigerated pie crust into an 8-inch pie plate. Fold the edges of the dough underneath itself so that the folded edges rest on the rim of the pie plate. Crimp the edges with a fork if desired to create a decorative border.
- Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, vanilla extract, eggs, and a dash of cinnamon if using. Stir in the chopped pecans until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Assemble and Cook: Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust in the pie plate. Gently place the pie into the air fryer basket, ensuring it sits flat. Air fry the pie at 325ºF (163ºC) for 25 to 27 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. Allow the pie to cool before serving.
Notes
- Make sure your pie crust is softened to prevent cracking and to make it easier to shape.
- You can add a dash of cinnamon to the filling for a spiced flavor boost or omit it for a classic pecan pie taste.
- Check the pie at 25 minutes; if the filling is not fully set, continue cooking for another 2 minutes.
- Allow the pie to cool completely before slicing to ensure clean cuts and proper filling consistency.
- If your air fryer basket is small, ensure it can accommodate an 8-inch pie plate safely and heat evenly.
